My name is Ivan Conway, I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant and a Justice of the Peace.  My wife, Maureen and I have resided permanently in the Airlie Beach area since December 1997 and have always taken our holidays in the Whitsundays for the past 30 years.

I have been officiating at Weddings, reaffirmation, commitment and Naming ceremonies for the past twenty years on the Central Highlands coal fields, Rockhampton and Mackay, and here in the beautiful Whitsunday's since December 1997.

I took early retirement from the coal mining industry in December 1997 after serving almost 40 years as an underground coal miner to further my career as a Marriage Celebrant in the Whitsunday's.  I am committed to my role as a Marriage Celebrant and have officiated at many beautiful and memorable ceremonies in the Whitsunday's and surrounding areas and Islands.  One of the many highlights of my career as a celebrant in the Whitsunday's was officiating my daughter's wedding on Hamilton Island.

Being resident in Airlie Beach, I am able to effectively provide immediate attention to couples contemplating their wedding ceremony on Hamilton Island.

I have held a Private Pilot's Licence since 1971 and when I have access to an aircraft this gives me immediate fast access to Hamilton Island.
