Our Photography team come from rich and diverse photographic backgrounds and have been handpicked to work in this fabulous location.  The majority of work undertaken by our photographers is shooting weddings for HIW on Hamilton Island and they've shot hundreds, even thousands of them, so you can be guaranteed they have the experience and ability to apprehend the moment and understand the special touches and unique requirements that only a true dedicated Wedding photographer could understand.

Because they shoot on Hamilton Island year round, the photography team have an intimate knowledge of the best locations for any condition or time of the day.  They can make quick decisions on alternate locations if the weather should turn bad or the light just isnt working for your desired location, saving you time and frustration on your day.  This ability to adjust can only be achieved with the level of knowledge provided by HIW's photographers. Whatever the look and feel you are after for your wedding memories, our photography department will be able to achieve the desired results using their vast experience with Hamilton Islands locations.

Our photographers are simply nuts about weddings, and are always keen to put your ideas or suggestions into action.  If you've seen something in a magazine or at another wedding, or just have an idea you think might work, pass it on to our team and they will be very happy to discuss your options. The number of weddings that our Photographers shoot means that every day they are using their creativity and imagination, hand in hand with their local knowledge to achieve unique and specialised images to suit each individual couples preferred style.

FAST TURNAROUND

Despite our remote location, in almost all cases our photography department have your images ready for collection before you leave the island (usually within 3 days).  Imagine being able to re-live your wedding day before you even get home, or while you're enjoying your honeymoon!

YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS ONLINE

Our free online service provides you with a 24 hour a day display of all wedding images provided to you.  Not only can your family and friends view all of your wedding images, they can also make and pay for reprint orders online themselves with their own credit card, without you having to do anything at all.  Its all part of the service.

PRE WEDDING CONSULTATION

Upon your arrival to the island and before your wedding day your photographer will meet with you to discuss your requirements and go over any particular requests you may have, what you want for your photography, as well as  things that you do not want, but most importantly just to meet you and say hi!.

THE BEST EQUIPMENT IN THE INDUSTRY

Cameras & Lenses
Our team use the highest quality equipment to ensure the best possible results for your wedding memories
Only full frame digital cameras are used in conjunction with the highest quality lenses in the industry.  All images are captured in RAW format to ensure no detail is missed.  Our photographers use both Canon and Nikon Professional Digital Camera equipment.

Editing & Colour Correcting
All your wedding memories are colour corrected and edited using Apple Mac Pro computers in conjunction with Eizo 14 bit Hardware Calibrated Computer Monitors, this equipment is the best in the business and ensures that the images supplied to you look the way the photographer intended them to look.
The experienced eyes of our photography team means that you will never have to spend time sorting through shots with your eyes closed or backs turned.  They edit the selection of images for you leaving you with only the cream of the crop.

SHOW OFF YOUR IMAGES AND SHARE YOUR MEMORIES

Hamilton Island Weddings has a wide range of optional products available for purchase either before your wedding, at the time of your pre wedding consultation, or in the months/years after your wedding.   These include thank you cards, DVD slideshows and Australian, handmade book bound albums, in a range of sizes, colours and quality materials.

RETENTION OF COPYRIGHT BY HIW

Hamilton Island Weddings retains the copyright and the right to provide you with reprints because we are proud of our work.  We want to ensure that when one of our images is printed and displayed, that it is done so with the quality in which it was intended, to ensure that anyone looking at your wedding memories is looking at the real thing.  We believe you should question the integrity of any photographer who is willing to simply give away the rights to such important and irreplaceable images as the ones they are taking of your day.  With HIW retaining this right, it also means that even years down the track you will always have access to true and integral images of your day, with out any care needed on your behalf. 

ARCHIVING OF YOUR PRECIOUS MEMORIES

The photography team have rock solid processes in place for the archiving of your precious memories, from the time your images are downloaded from camera; we have multiple copies of your images on file to ensure they will be around for your future generations to enjoy.

HIW CONSULTANT

By booking HIW photography, your HIW consultant will also be on hand for the duration of your photo tour.  They will be there to help pour the champagne, assist you with your dress, and take care of logistics so you can simply relax and enjoy your special day.

WE TAKE LESS TIME TO ACHEIVE THE SAME RESULTS

Have you ever compared our package and wondered why our packages seem to include less time than our competition?  Well, it's because our team have it down to a fine art, they shoot here every day and for this reason they know just about every location better than any other photographer could possibly know it.  And, they know from experience that no couple want to spend more time out in the sun and away from their guests than they have to, so with this in mind we ensure you spend as much time as is needed on photo tour but not a minute more.  This is purely and simply why you may think that our packages are light on for time, but they are simply as long as they need to be. Its all about you and your day!

PRICE

We know we're not the cheapest, we've never pretended to be, nor do we ever intend to be.  What we do say is we're the best and for us it's all about the service.  Running a business in a location as unique as Hamilton Island incurs unique expenses, which of course are incorporate into our packages.

We could easily provide cheaper packages by cutting corners, however as you've made the decision to come to such a visually spectacular location as Hamilton Island for your wedding, we believe the last thing you should be sacrificing is quality on your memories, we want them to last you a lifetime. 

We believe that you deserve access to the highest quality images, making the most of your locations and that is what we are committed to providing.

In our online gallery we have hundreds of weddings which we urge you to peruse.  These are not just the best images we've handpicked to display, these are complete sets of wedding images as they were supplied to past couples.  The proof is in the pudding and we are putting our pudding out there for everyone to try. 

We doubt there are many photographers around who will show you this level of transparency in their work, by simply allowing you to view even their last 10 complete weddings, let alone hundreds.
